Restorative Yoga – Tuesdays 8pm-9.15pm This weekly class will help you ease out tension and bring you to total relaxation. Using bolsters, cushions and blocks to support you in the postures the body can release effort as it gently stretches. Using breathing techniques to bring a point of focus the mind becomes still.
This class is great if you suffer from stress, anxiety, or just need space and time to chillout. Restorative yoga is also effective for long term conditions and recovery from injury.
Yin Yoga – Thursdays 8pm-9.15pm In yin yoga we are working into the connective tissue of the joints and ligaments. Holding postures for 3-5minutes we stimulate blood flow into the joints to bring nourishment and gently stretch them to create space and increase the range of movement. With yin yoga we find the edge of our practice, allow the muscles to switch off and still the mind.
As well as being an excellent practice for overall wellbeing, yin yoga is a great complement to sports activities where the joints undertake a lot of strain and pressure helping keep the joints in optimum condition.
